LDG--
You never cease to amaze me--
I read the article again-- good news! Glad to see Washington is still focused on this!
Was Venezuela honoring Manuel Marulanda in the last few days? I saw on Adam's twitter where he wrote his Venezuelan friends were upset because Marulanda was being honored? Didn't that guy die in March?
I looked for the news on this but I could not find anything stating Marulanda was being honored...
Here's the report on the Marulanda statue:
AP on Marulanda statue
they sang FARC anthems??????
No wonder the people are upset--
where the heck did you find that? I was searching and typing in key words last night looking for something on what you posted!
thanks soooooooooooo much!!
re: "Where the heck...?"
I had it in files as of the day A. Housley made his comment about hearing of it (comment on his Twitter). Did a quick workup on Continental Bolivarian Coordinator and Venezuelan Bolivarian Coordinator as well, just in case he were to ask. They (VBC) are part of the ultra-left in Venezuelan politics.
...yes, one can be *more* leftist than Hugo. ((boggle))
I just read a student opposition leader was gunned down in Caracas, Wednesday..
I see Silva and Chavez are becoming good friends-- they just signed seven new agreements a couple days ago.
