It will be hard to get enough unbiased information to answer that, but whatever the cause: Susan Tsvangirai is dead and her husband Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai of Zimbabwe (Rhodesia) is injured following a sideswipe crash on a road on the outskirts of the capital.

This just got a whole lot more complicated.
Wow... that's a twist I wasn't expecting. Do you really think we are somehow involved? That would really be mind blowing. Could it just have been a coincidence? I shrink at any other thoughts.
It seems that U.S. involvement was coincidental: A U.S.-paid local driver delivering a USAID shipment.
It is what the Mugabe-controlled media can do with such information that is the maddening part, because it allows for some really nasty "spin" that could cloud over any meaningful investigation.
Closure, unofficially:
Morgan Tsvangirai has issued a statement that he believes it really was an accident.
