North Korea Matters

Consider this a notice of thread-topics-to-come

Many, many things are happening all at once regarding North Korea.

Missile launch threats and American countermeasures.

A North Korean merchant ship may be stopped for inspection or at least asked to stop...

Seismic Monitors are on alert for another possible atomic weapon test.

Looking to be a heck of a week or three coming.

North Korea Annoys me and depresses me. The annoyance is why hasn't this been resolved in 65 years. and It depresses me how a country with a GDP Less than Zimbabwe (maybe) can cause the U.S. to look so weak. Frankly I would like the U.S. to take the abrogation of the armistice seriously and glass most of everything north of the DMZ, including Pyongyang, and then apologize to the Chinese for over reacting. Yeah I knwo yu have chastized me for harshing on Civilians, but honestly, I see little coming from these malnourished, myopic, bnrainwashed peasants straight out of 1953, other than empty mouths, amd "magical" thinking.

I know, and a part of me is of the same mind... but there are still other options open. For them to work will take some serious fortitude on the part of the Americans, the South Koreans, and the Japanese. Let's see if that can be found.

@All

regarding the Kang Nam 1 merchant ship inspection: Singapore has announced they will take action if the ship makes port there.

I was just wondering about Kang Nam-- and I see you answered my question I had in mind-- if Signapore is going to help out- but apparently North Korea does not give a chara--

"If they point a gun at us, we will get back with a cannon. If they point a cannon, we will point missiles and for sanctions, we will give them revenge. Getting back with a nuclear weapon for a nuclear weapon is what we do."

I like Karl's post-- such passion! myopic-- LOL

well the myopics are at it again-- now stating South Korea is going to start some chara with them?

question-- Chavez has to be enjoying all of this--Iran, North Korea-- what says he?

Purr said...

where is Kang Nam right now? Is this story on the back burner now as it is all about Iran from what I can see--

@Susan

Hugo? nada. silencio.

Expect that he is using the time with the media looking elsewhere to do things inside Venezuela that he hopes won't be noticed.

and

re: the Kang Nam 1
Motoring south, still. Monday looks to be about the time the Singapore authorities get a crack at it.

that is what I thought-- Chavez-- being sneaky-- taking advantage of the distractions--

Monday is the day to really keep my eyes wide open-- whose Monday anyway? yours is already here--
