Open question, being that the sources on this are unofficial, and when compared to other reports contradictory, but...
If it is true, it will either result in the next Iranian Civil War or one heck of a crackdown on the "Party of 'green'" supporters. Neither gives much hope.

I may be cheating, but this is a multi-sourced blog post on the apparent arrest.
Now I'm trying to track down and verify two other stories I remember reading earlier. One that talked about Ahmadenijad's own election oversight committee breaking ranks and calling foul on the election. The other talked about the government of Iran shutting down access to twitter, social networking sites, and most user-generated mass communication. I guess they must have done it to keep down unnecessary chatter about the incumbent's total landslide victory that makes him the most popular Iranian president ever in the history of the world.
Ok, here is a blog post on the story about Ahmadenijad's election monitoring commission declaring the outcome invalid. Now, the problem I have with it is that its primary source is an arabic-language article that could be news or it could be another blog post.
@Mr. Bill
Way to go, Big Guy; Those are both useful items!
I've got RFE/RL 's Radio Farda sources to hand *here* for general Iran items and *here* for Presidential Election-specific items.
(re: "...unnecessary chatter about..." hehhehheh so well said)

Hm... Where's our man in Tehrangeles for the local reaction in his part of the world? "Karl Reisman", are you out there?
Follow-up:
It looks like it has been "Catch and Release" so far on the arrests, although Mousavi himself is likely under House Arrest.
It also appears there was some moderate damage done by the riots on Saturday evening.
More on this as more comes in.
Andrew Sullivan published this interesting piece suggesting the religious power base might be backing different horses in the name of religion, but likely for their own reasons.
